Behind the Scenes at Surf for All: Making Waves of Change
Dr. Jeanine Sorensen, a school psychologist with over 20 years of experience goes into Floored Media to talk with Jason Belsky. They discuss her role in supporting students with special needs and managing challenging cases. Her son, Lars, is a musician mentored by Daryl McDaniels (DMC) and is featured on DMC’s upcoming album. Her daughter, Fiona, is an athlete and model. Janine also discusses her consulting work, focusing on mental well-being and helping individuals overcome obstacles. Jeanine and Jay collaborate on a charity, Surf for All, which provides surf outings and a summer camp for children with disabilities. Jeanine describes the transformative impact of surfing on these children, fostering social connections and empowering them. The camp, which started in 2016, relies on volunteers and is funded through fundraising, offering a free and inclusive experience for families.
