FELIX is back at the pool!

“On Sunday, March 16th, The Felix Organization in collaboration with Surf For All sent a group of 11 students from Haven Academy Charter School in the Bronx, NY got to “hang 10!” at the indoor water park at the American Dream mall. Prior to the wave pool opening to the public, the kids who are part of the NYC foster care system had the whole pool to themselves to ride waves assisted until they were ready to fly on their own all with huge grins across their faces as they pulled themselves up to stand. The support of the instructors and the encouragement of the folks along the wave pool got Felix kids “totally stoked” as they bravely took on each wave. The smiles and laughter spoke for itself! When asked what their favorite part of the day was, each kid replied, “getting knocked down and getting back up again!" This truly speaks to how resilient and fun-loving Felix kids truly are!”
