For my Mitzvah project, I chose to partner with Surf For All. Surf For All’s roots originated in 2002 with the development of a surf program for developmentally disabled teenagers. Over the years, Surf For All expanded its outings to cover a broader spectrum of disabilities– autism, cerebral palsy, global developmental delays, visual impairment, and others. I wanted to share with you how important it is for me to see everyone have an equal chance to enjoy the things that bring them happiness and not feel excluded or different from others. I also love the beach and catching waves in the ocean. Our close family friend is a part of the organization and I want to help them. I hope to raise $1,000 to help Surf For All to assist in providing weekly lessons at no cost for students ages five to twenty during the Summer Special Education Program. Surf For All also provides programs for the economically disadvantaged, including children in foster care and also works closely with Wounded Warriors, providing lessons and support for our military heroes and their families. This summer, I have also committed to volunteer at their base camp on Long Beach, Long Island. Please help me to raise money for these awesome kids.
